You might want to write this down...

Today i over heard my brother and sister having a conversation. Long story short- my feelings were hurt more then they ever have in my life.

I then decided I won't let people bring me down or control my mood any longer. I am in control.

I was digging through my books to find something to read and I stumbled upon an unfinished book called "How to win friends & influence people." by Dale Carnegie. I started reading and I came upon these wonderful tips at the end of each chapter.

I'd like to share these with you all:

1.don't criticize condem or complain.
2.give honest and sincere appreciation.
3.make the other person want what you have to offer.
4.become genuinely interested in other people.
5.SMILE.
6.remember that the persons name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
7.be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselvs.
8.talk in terms of the other persons interests.
9.make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely.
10.the only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.
11.show respect for the other persons opinions. Never say "you're wrong."
12.if you are wrong, admit it quickly.
13.try to see things from the other persons point of view.
14.be sympathetic with the other persons ideas and desires.
15.call attention to peoPles mistakes indirectly.
16.praise the slightest improvement and every improvement.
17.use encouragement. Make faults seem easy to correct.
18.compliment as often as possible, but be sincere.

Such an inspirational book. (:

PS- if you'd like to read it, which I'd suggest... Let me know! I'd be happy to lend it out!
